About Persy's
The name Persy's Place came from the word "perseverance". It took plenty of that to succeed and now takes much perseverance to prepare and present what the Boston Globe calls "New England 's largest breakfast menu." As time passed we added 4 homemade chowders (almost 1st place at the BostonChowderfest... but that's another story), 45 deli sandwiches, and several "Blue Plate Specials." Lunch became important at Persy's.
And so, the restaurant my wife, Ann, and I started is a quarter century old. Our kids grew up there... four of them learned the business and are major players now. And "yes", the next generation, our 9 grand kids, are growing fast and starting to learn the business too.
All our 7 restaurants have a family member or managing partner (an employee who worked their way up) present and in charge most of the time. We think you'll find that makes a big difference in the quality of our food and the attentiveness of our service.
